Juvenile Justice Complex

The Juvenile Detention Center (JDC) is run by the Department of Corrections. The JDC is a 72-bed facility that houses juveniles from age 11 to 17.  JDC is a secure youth detention center which is used by the Juvenile Court System to hold detained juveniles who are awaiting detention hearings, placement into juvenile field services , placement into another juvenile correctional facility or release back to legal guardians.

The Juvenile Intake and Assessment Center (JIAC) and the Mental Health Department's Adolescnet Center for Treatment (ACT) are co-located on the this site.
